Opinion: Health workers must get flu shot or quit

- Sure no problem. I'll get a flu shot. Just as soon as my employer pays for it and I will be financially compensated for the week off I will have to take from suffering the side effects. Go ahead make it mandatory. Then my family will have legal rocourse after I die of pneumonia.

- I'm a nurse. The last time I got a flu shot - and the time before that, and the time before that. I got so sick I had to take time off work. Did I get paid? No. Did I get in trouble for taking time off? Yes. Will I ever get another flu shot? H-ll NO!

Even health care workers reject flu shots

- Sorry to say this doc, but I'm a health care worker too. I hardly ever get the flu but when I got the flu shot last three times I ended up with pneumonia. I don't care if the vaccine has live strain in it or not. Having the vaccine makes me sicker than not having it. Why must I risk my own health?
